The UAE's specialist outdoor chain: proper desert tents, sand stakes, recovery boards, GPS units, and staff who camp themselves. Priciest of the list, but the only place you'll find every item from our Liwa gear guide under one roof.
Decathlon (Yas Mall Abu Dhabi, multiple Dubai)
Best value in the country. Quechua dome tents, Forclaz 0°C sleeping bags and insulated mats at roughly half specialist prices — perfectly adequate for winter Liwa trips.
GO Sport / Sun & Sand Sports
Mainstream brands (Coleman, Columbia, The North Face) in most major malls. Good for clothing layers and mid-range tents.
Dragon Mart (Dubai)
The budget wildcard: lanterns, folding furniture, rugs, BBQs and no-name tents at souq prices. Inspect stitching and zips before paying — quality varies wildly.
Carrefour & ACE Hardware
Seasonal camping aisles every winter — coolboxes, charcoal, basic chairs. Fine for accessories, not for your primary tent.

Solar-powered camping equipment
For lights and charging on multi-night trips: Jackery and EcoFlow power stations with folding panels (Amazon.ae, Adventure HQ), Anker Solix for phone-scale charging, and cheap-and-cheerful solar string lights from Noon or Dragon Mart. A 300Wh station + 100W panel covers phones, cameras and lights for a weekend comfortably.
